Every winter, I seem like it has gotten cooler than the year before. Possibly it is because every year, I grow older and my metabolic process slows down. This year, I decided to figure out how to remain warm in bed. My blankets are not any warmer and I didn't wish to alter blankets so I decided to attempt other methods. Here is what I attempted and what seemed to work for me.
Warmer pajamas: I am used to using shorts and a tee shirt to bed. Or, sometimes, I'll use a sexy camisole for my spouse and I to take pleasure in. This winter season, I tried wearing long sleeve pajamas. I in fact attempted different kinds. First, I tried the flannel pajamas. They were extremely warm and I felt great all night. The only thing was that I didn't get to feel the softness of my down blanket against my body - something that I truly take pleasure in. Also, I didn't feel as appealing going to bed, something that I like to feel too, specifically with my partner sleeping next to me. Next, I attempted using these silk pajamas. They definitely felt soft to the touch, however weren't as warm as the flannel. It still worked much better than a camisole or shorts and a tee shirt.
Heated blanket: Although I love my blankets, I decided to include a heated blanket underneath them just for my body. The heated blanket worked too well. I was practically too hot and my husband and I hesitated of starting a fire in the middle of the night given that the blanket needed to be plugged in. While this choice was great, I decided I would simply utilize it for times when I am resting on the couch and reading and need some extra heat. I'm keeping the blanket, however am not going to use it to go to sleep.
Cashmere bed socks: This was another mattress warmer queen alternative suggested to me by a good friend. In the beginning, when she discussed it, I had no concept what cashmere bed socks were. I discovered that they specify socks that you can purchase to use to bed. Of course, you don't need to purchase these socks and you can always simply wear any pair of cotton socks to bed, but these are made particularly to keep your feet warm all night. I actually attempted wearing these with my shorts and t-shirt and discovered that it made a substantial difference in how warm I felt. Surprisingly, these worked really well and I didn't have to fear a fire or change what I usually wore. Naturally using socks to bed felt a little foreign to me initially, however ultimately I got utilized to it.
